Ebner Stolz advises Materialise on the acquisition of ACTech

Munich, October 6th, 2017 – The Bel­gian Mate­ria­lise-Group, which is lis­ted at the NAS­DAQ, sig­ned the agree­ment for acqui­ring the ACTech-Group on October 4th, 2017. Ebner Stolz pro­vi­ded finan­cial and tax due dili­gence sup­port, SPA advice as well as tax struc­tu­ring.
 
The acqui­si­tion of ACTech enab­les Mate­ria­lise to broa­den its ser­vice range wit­hin the mar­ket for the pro­duc­tion and deli­very of com­plex 3D-prin­ted metal parts.
Further­more, by joi­ning for­ces Mate­ria­lise will be able to sig­ni­fi­cantly improve its soft­ware suite for metal 3D prin­ting.
 
Wil­fried Van­c­raen, foun­der and CEO of Mate­ria­lise exp­lai­ned that the acqui­si­tion of ACTech and its tech­no­lo­gi­cal inte­g­ra­tion in Mate­ria­lise will expand 3D prin­ting tech­no­logy throug­hout the whole metal wor­king indu­s­try.

„ACTech knows metal and how to shape it to pro­duc­tion stan­dard, and we know Metal 3D Prin­ting. Brin­ging those two com­pe­ten­cies toge­ther is vital to the deli­very of high-added value metal 3D-prin­ted parts for spe­cia­li­zed app­li­ca­ti­ons“, said Mr. Van­c­raen.
 
ACTech toge­ther with its sub­si­dia­ries and appro­xi­ma­tely 350 emp­loyees in Ger­many, the USA and India is one of the world’s lea­ding enter­pri­ses in pro­du­cing cas­ting pro­to­ty­pes and small metal bat­ches for custo­mers in dif­fe­rent indu­s­tries.
