Reutlingen

Lo­ca­ted at the bot­tom of the Swa­bian Alps, this at­trac­tive city’s eco­nomy is made up of a so­lid blend of large in­dus­trial plants, lo­cal han­di­crafts, and at­trac­tive re­tailers, along with some very high-tech com­pa­nies. The ma­nu­fac­tu­ring in­dus­try, which em­ploys al­most 40% of the city’s workers, forms the back­bone of the re­gion’s eco­nomy. As in the rest of Ba­den-Würt­tem­berg, Reut­lin­gen also has com­pa­nies whose high qua­lity stan­dards and ex­per­tise have al­lo­wed them to hold their own, even against in­ter­na­tio­nal com­pe­ti­tors.
