- Swedish wholesaler Mekonomen acquires the wholesale activities from HELLA at a purchase price of EUR 395 million

Bonn, 12th July 2018 – The accounting and consulting firm Ebner Stolz advised the German public listed company HELLA on their disposal of the Danish and Polish wholesale business by providing transaction advice, tax structuring and the preparation of financial and tax fact books.
HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA which ranks among the worlds leading automotive suppliers sells its Danish and Polish wholesale companies, FTZ Autodele & Verktoj A/S and Inter-Team sp. z o.o., to the Swedish wholesaler Mekonomen AB, the leading car service chain in the Nordic region. The sale is subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities and is expected to close in the third quarter 2018.
FTZ and Inter-Team employ a total of around 2,500 people. The two wholesalers achieved total sales of around EUR 480 million in the 2016/2017 financial year. This corresponds to about 7 percent of HELLA´s group consolidation sales.
