Stutt­gart, Ger­many, Au­gust 26, 2021 - Au­diting and con­sul­ting firm Eb­ner Stolz pro­vi­ded com­pre­hen­sive fi­nan­cial due di­li­gence sup­port to funds ad­vi­sed by Bre­gal Un­ter­neh­mer­ka­pi­tal (Bre­gal) on the ac­qui­si­tion of a ma­jo­rity stake in Laird Ther­mal Sys­tems (LTS).

LTS de­ve­lops and ma­nu­fac­tures ther­mal ma­nage­ment so­lu­ti­ons for a wide range of im­port­ant ap­pli­ca­ti­ons. LTS pro­ducts are used in a range of equip­ment in the areas of me­di­cine and dia­gnostics as well for ana­lytics, in­dus­trial, trans­port and traf­fic, con­su­mer elec­tro­nics, and te­lecom­mu­ni­ca­ti­ons. Re­ve­nues of the com­pany, which em­ploys around 460 peo­ple, have re­cently been gro­wing at an an­nual rate of around 10%.

Bre­gal is a glo­bal fa­mily-ba­cked in­ves­tor that pro­vi­des long-term en­tre­pre­neu­rial ca­pi­tal, sup­por­ting suc­cess­ful com­pa­nies in their fur­ther de­ve­lop­ment. The busi­ness is in­te­res­ted in mar­ket lea­ders that are “hid­den cham­pi­ons” in their fields and that have strong ma­nage­ment teams. With EUR 4 bil­lion in as­sets un­der ma­nage­ment, Bre­gal fo­cu­ses on mid-si­zed com­pa­nies across a wide range of sec­tors in Ger­many, Aus­tria, Swit­zer­land and Nort­hern Italy wi­thin the au­to­mo­tive, busi­ness ser­vices, con­su­mer, che­mi­cals, e-com­merce, health­care, in­dus­tri­als, me­dia, te­lecom­mu­ni­ca­ti­ons and soft­ware sec­tors. To­ge­ther, Bre­gal em­ploys over 13,500 peo­ple and ge­ne­ra­tes an­nual re­ve­nues in ex­cess of EUR 2.9 bil­lion.

Bre­gal will sup­port LTS in its geo­gra­phic ex­pan­sion as well as its entry into new mar­ket seg­ments, ac­qui­si­ti­ons and the in­tro­duc­tion of nu­me­rous pro­duct in­no­va­ti­ons.
